This was a tight game, with defences on top and scores hard to come by. Ballinkillen went ahead early on with a fortunate goal for Eric English when a free dropped to the back of the Muinebheag net. A free from Kevin Kavanagh and another for Eric English left Ballinkillen 1-02 ahead after 11 minutes. Muinebheag struck back with a goal from Ciaran Hanafin and a point from Jake Doyle.
Eric English scored another pointed free and Ballinkillen´s Jack Murphy goaled before half time to leave the score 2-03 to 1-01 in favour of the home side.

Muinebheag came out determined to bridge the gap in the second half and out-scored Ballinkillen 2-01 to 1 point with goals from Sean Wall and Eoin Doyle and a point from Jake Doyle. Ballinkillen´s point came from a Jack McLoughlin free.

Best for Ballinkillen on the day were Eoin Cummins, Tomas Kearney, Darragh Bolger and Darragh Cummins.
Craig Rossiter, Oisin Dillon,Shane Cowman,Shane Cody and Adam Curran were Muinebheag's best players.
