Ballinkillen 3-2  St. Mullins 0-3

This was a fine, sporting game, played at full tilt from start to finish. St. Mullins started brightly, putting the Ballinkillen defence under severe pressure and came away with a point from the stick of Cathal Connolly. The home team settled into the game after that and had a sustained spell of dominance for the rest of the first half - triggered by a fine Louis Brennan goal. Jack Treacy (0-1, free) and Aaron Lennon-Corcoran (0-1) stretched Ballinkillen's lead to leave the half-time score 1-2 to 0-1.

Despite outstanding saves by the St. Mullins keeper, Jake Kelly, Ballinkillen goaled twice in the second half (Mark Foley and Aaron Lennon-Corcoran). St. Mullins fought hard to the end and scored 0-2 in reply. Conor Tracey, Eoin Whelan, Aaron Lennon-Corcoran and Louis Brennan put in good displays for the home team in a strong all-round team performance.
