Carlow Town 4-9 Ballinkillen 0-0

Carlow Town started strongly in this game, snatching 2-1 in the opening 3 minutes (Kevin Murphy 1-1, Cian Sweeney 1-0) and never looked back. Kevin Murphy was the stand-out player in the first half, dominating from mid-field, despite the efforts of Louis Brennan to curb his influence. Craig Bermingham and Eric English worked hard in defence for the visitors but Carlow Town finished the first half up 3-8 to no score.
Ballinkillen shuffled the pack at half time and held Carlow Town's second-half score to 1-1, but there was never any doubt about the final result as Carlow Town ran out comfortable winners after a fine team display.
