Ballinkillen 2-11  Naomh Brid 0-0

This game was slow to get going with both sets of forwards well marshalled in the first half. Despite close attention from the strong Naomh Brid full-back line of Sean Nolan, Angus Wenman and Patrick Roche, Ballinkillen's Eoin Whelan picked off points steadily from play and from placed balls to finish the half with 0-5.
Naomh Brid were down 0-6 to no score at half time but still well in the game with the breeze behind them for the second period.

Cian Delaney's well taken goal early in the second half and a last-ditch goal-line save from Ballinkillen's James Cummins probably killed off the visitors' challenge. Louis Brennan goaled and Mark Foley helped himself to 4 points from play.
Jack O'Brien, Jason Daly and Luke Kelly stood out for Naomh Brid and Ballinkillen's Patrick Kavanagh, Thomas O'Donoghue and Sean Smithers impressed throughout the game.

The final score flattered the home side, Naomh Brid were definitely unlucky with a number of shots on goal and would be dissappointed with their wides tally.
