Hurling Club News - 6th October

On the Playing Fields:
In what was a big weekend for the club, we had mixed fortunes. Pride of place goes to Ballinkillen minor hurlers who have qualified for the county final. In their semi final clash with parish neighbours Erins own, Bagenalstown, the Ballinkillen lads had a great victory on a scoreline of Ballinkillen 3-17 to Erins Own 2-7. Ballinkillen now meet hot favourites, MLR, in the final on Sunday the 18th of October.

Unfortunately our Senior Hurlers fell just short in their joust with County Champions St. Mullins. Ballinkillen fielding without talisman David English trailed throughout but made a gallant fight back however just fell short at the final whistle. Scoreline of Ballinkillen 2-11 to ST. Mullins 1-17.

County Board Club Development Draw:

The final of the 5 monthly draws took place on Monday the 5th.Results not available yet. Many thanks to all those who again kindly supported the Club. The local draw will follow in the near future.
