Congratulations to Cyril Hughes on winning the Hall of Fame Award

Ballinkillen's own Cyril Hughes was honoured for his great contribution to Carlow GAA (football and hurling) on the field and at management level.  Amongst the highlights of his career were winning a Railway Cup Football medal with combined Universities in 1973 and receiving an All Star as an outstanding dual player in 1982 and of course winning a SHC with his native Ballinkillen in 1973. Cyril’s lifelong involvement with Ballinkillen HC continues as a current selector.

Carlow v London

6 Ballinkillen lads played on the team that defeated London on the 23/02/2014 with 2 more on the subs bench. Well done again lads and best of luck against Derry next weekend.

All Ireland Club Final

Ballinkillen HC wish to congratulate MLR on their outstanding achievement in reaching the final and extend their sincere best wishes on the 17th. A bus will be organised from Ballinkillen HC grounds to the final on St. Patrick's Day
