The Juvenile Hurling Club is back up to full steam:

U-6, U-8 and U-10 training started back in Ballinkillen on Thursday 9th April - a strong turn out at all age groups on a fine day.

Our U-12s started the year with 3 games in the Rathnure indoor 9-a-side hurling tournament and received a new set of jerseys, sponsored by Transpec Ltd, Ireland’s leading distributor of spare parts for all makes of truck and trailers.

Transpec’s Managing Director, Richard Sheehan presented the jerseys to Ballinkillen Hurling Club Juvenile Chairman Roy Kavanagh. Commenting on the sponsorship, Richard Sheehan said that “We are delighted to be associated with Ballinkillen Hurling club and indeed with the GAA. We wish them well for the forthcoming season and hope this is the start of a long standing relationship between Ballinkillen Hurling Club and Transpec.¨

The U-12´s start their league campaigns this Saturday with games v Carlow Town HC in Division 2 and Naomh Moling in Division 1

Our U-14´s were unlucky not to progress to the Feile Ceatharlach Final on Easter Monday, drawing with MLR in the first round and getting the better of Bagenalstown in the second ... only to lose out on a place in the final by a single point on scores conceded. Good luck to MLR who go on to represent Carlow in the national competition. The U-14´s play their first championship game of the year on Monday 13th away to Naomh Moling @ 7pm.

Our U-16´s came up just short in a tough encounter at home to Naomh Moling in their first game of the championship on Friday 10th April.
